Soccer is so much more than a game.

It’s a passion that connects people of every age and culture all around the world. And with more than 9 million kids playing in youth soccer leagues in 2017, it makes it one of the top youth-participation sports in the U.S. That’s why we’ve launched the Target youth soccer grants program to give more kids a chance to play.

KIDS in the GAME is partnering with Target to help schools, government agencies, non-profit organizations or non-profit regional/local soccer organizations within the U.S., serving youth 5 to 18 years olds increase soccer programming.

Organizations can apply for $1,000 to cover:

  • field equipment (goals, corner markers, paint)
  • soccer gear (balls, pennies, ball bags)
  • professional development (course curriculum, teacher training)
  • Scholarships to cover registration fees for families in need

The Target youth soccer grants program provides support for player registration fees, player and field equipment, and training and professional development for volunteer coaches. Any eligible school, government agency, non-profit organization or non-profit regional/local soccer organization within the U.S., serving youth 5 to 18 years old, can apply.  Any questions can be sent to

Applications are open May 1 through June 30, 2018
