Rescheduling Spring League Games

Revised 4/6/09
The 2009 Master Games Schedule contains over 2000 games for 420 teams from 51 clubs split into 68 divisions.  Any changes, including requests to reschedule, notices of field changes/closures by clubs, forfeits, etc.  require additional work by CDYSL office staff before those changes can either be approved and/or updated on the website - not the least of which is reassignment of referees if scheduled.

Requests to reschedule games, regardless of the reason are NOT considered officially approved until changes are posted on CDYSL website.

To make this process as efficient as possible and to avoid unnecessary delays CDYSL set up a the following procedures several years ago to handle scheduling changes. We also established a dedicated email address for the Games Rescheduler  RESCHED@NYCAP.RR.COM  to handle ALL rescheduling  requests and other notices from clubs that affect the master schedule.  This account keeps requests in one place and can be accessed by more than one staff member which can avoid significant delays in processing if/when a particular staff member is working on other projects and/or  messages sent to other CDYSL accounts are buried among the hundreds of other messages received on a daily bases

ball Procedures for rescheduling games:

Requests to reschedule games, regardless of the reason are NOT considered officially approved until changes are posted on CDYSL website. see Game Schedule page

CDYSL strongly recommends games be rescheduled on Saturdays when possible and within 2 weeks of the original game date to avoid conflicts later in the season when accommodating your request will be more difficult.

  1. Call the opposing coach ASAP to notify him/her and arrange an alternate date, time and location BEFORE submitting a request to reschedule a game.

  • Your request will be processed and you will be notified by e-mail.
