Games committee would like to thank all the clubs that attended this important meeting.  We had a great discussion and take your suggestions very seriously.  

Topics discussed 

1. Paying referees at the field

• Discussed that not all Referees like Venmo, cash is best.
• Possible solution recommended: Home team Club pays full referee fees for the game and Visiting team pays 0.  Will be discussed at the January General Board Meeting

2.  Moving the Empire Cup to an early date and possibly a second tournament -

• Empire Cup was moved 1 week earlier to June 12-14

3. Ease of finding opposing coach contact information for rescheduling

• CDYSL will work on this topic and remind clubs to add good contact information for each team so that CDYSL and/or opposing coaches can easily access them.

4.  Option of playing games on Saturdays and/or Sundays.  The older groups 13U and up should definitely starting their games on the first weekend of games.

• CDYSL recommends that teams use the free rescheduling period to place games on Saturdays.
• Suggestions recommend that CDYSL offer two standing time slots on Saturday afternoons 2:00pm and 4:00pm.  Teams can still schedule games in the morning if that is best for the teams. Will be discussed at the January General Board Meeting.

6.  Improve website and release preliminary team placement and game schedules earlier.  

• CDYSL has been working hard at updating the current website and would like feedback as to what is missing that clubs need- email cdyslpresident@cdysl.org with suggestions

7.  Focus on team placements for division/ improve the process.

• CDYSL will host New Appeal meetings for the Spring League so that teams can assist in making the Division as equal as possible.  See dates and times in the Spring information section of the website
• Clubs have the responsibility to report correct information about the teams level when filling out their team commitments forms, so the games committee is able to place them properly
