Game Day Requirements/Procedures
All Coaches & Team Managers/Trainers must be on the roster
Coaches MUST either have a Printed Match Day Card or printed primary roster for the Referee and opposing coach at the beginning of the Game. No Match Day Card or Primary Roster, the game will be canceled and all fees will be applied..
Make changes to the Match Day Card up to the day of the match
- Remove Primary Players not attending the match day, so you can add CP players
- Add eligible Club Pass Players to the Match Day Card (see the roster and club pass player rules) You must know the players Last Name, First Name and birthday to search for them. The spelling must match the player's GotSport account.
example: Coach enters Johnny Smith 12/4/2026 Player is not found
Player account is Jonathan Smith 12/4/2026
- Players will be identified on the Match Day Card either "P" Primary or "CP" Club Pass Player next to their name
- Remember that your Match Day Card will be the same from the previous match, so coaches will need to go in and remove any Club Pass Players not attending and put primary players back on the Match Day Card for the next match
- Player that have a red line through their names means they have been suspended and can not participate in the match or sit on the bench side until the red line disappears
- Players that have a blue line through their name means they have a head injury from a previous match and need an MD release note to participate in the game. Player should not be in uniform but may sit on bench side during the game.
- Players not listed on the Primary Roster or Match Day Card will NOT be allowed to participate in the match - NO EXCEPTION
- Any player that is not rostered with a team or does not meet the proper roster rules as set by CDYSL and ENYYSA plays in a CDYSL game, the coach, the player, and club will be subject to fines, suspensions, and other penalties as deemed appropriate by CDYSL.
- If on game day a coach suspects that an ineligible or non-rostered player is being used by the opposing team, the coach must inform the referee in writing prior to leaving the location of the game. In addition, the club designated representative must notify the CDYSL office with in 24 hours.
- CDYSL will be pulling a minimum of 20 Match Day cards on random game days to verify that teams are following the Club Pass Player Policy.
Print three (3) Match Day Cards with Photos and Bring them to the Game
- Deliver to Referee & the opposing Coach on Game Day - 15 minutes prior to the game
- No printed Primary Roster or Match Day Card will result in the game being canceled and all fines and fees will be applied to that team. (See fines and fees for <3 days notice of game cancellation)
Coaches should retain one Match Day Card for their own game management reasons
- Use for coaches notes during the game and reporting the score of the game at the end of the match
- There will be a comment section for game issues needing attention
Reporting game scoring information- Winning Team reports the score
- Using the Match Day Card listed information in the header, the winning coaches must report the game score within 24 hours of the match
There are two (2) ways to report a game score
- Option I: Via scoring website: Use Match Day Card listed information & Codes for inputting game scoring
- Website: system.gotsport.com (will be provided closer to the season)
- Enter Event Code:xxxx (Displayed on the match card)
- Enter PIN: xxxx (Displayed on the match card)
- Enter Game Number
- Enter Score & Save
- Option 2: Via QR Code on Top right of Match Day Card
- Scanning the QR Code on the top of the Match Day Card with a smart phone camera, will directly access the listed game scoring website
- Scroll down to listed game
- Enter Score & Save
